ST. GEORGE COURSES

ST. GEORGE COURSES
Played the courses below while staying with Frank and Linda Browne at their place at Sunriver addition in St. George: Close to great hiking at Zion and Bryce Canyon. Went to Zion with the Leinwebers on several occasions for hikes...great views of the red rocks. Also took a hike with Frank and Val into area behind an open area theatre where we saw a performance the night before...Very tough hike and Val and to push me over some boulders...Afterwards couldn't believe completed the hike, especially last 2 miles over thick sand. In St. George a B&B called the Seven Wives B.&B..must be in Mormon country..Bruce and Teri Embry also joined us there for a few days..great bike rides.

CORAL CANYON

CORAL CANYON
Beautiful course played with the Brownes on an earlier trip..Well laid out and links style east of St Georges. Loved the course and could see it all from the freeway above it.

KOKAPELLI

KOKAPELLI
Course 20 miles outside St George in the middle of nowhere. Very interesting course with wide fairways and often long carry to the fairway. Played with the Brownes. Planned for hotel and residences , but had not materialized..Later found out it went bust. "Full lunch included", consisting of a hot dog and chips. Course owned by a proctologist from Salt Lake that didn't even play golf....He kind of took it in the rear..so to speak. We had a fun day, but sadly won't do it again.

LEDGES

LEDGES
Number of dramatic holes, would play again!

OASIS (Palmer Course)

OASIS (Palmer Course)
2 courses in the area (Mesquite) one-half hour west of St George on way to Las Vegas. Beautiful course played with the Williams and Brownes..A real treat on links style course with many interesting holes and some water to boot. Would play again.

RED ROCK GOLF TRAIL

RED ROCK GOLF TRAIL
9 hole course appropriately named for the large red rocks that surround the course..Right in the middle of town..delightful play with Mom.

SAND HOLLOW

SAND HOLLOW
Favorite course of those played in St George...top 5 overall. Great view of red rocks and fantastic holes along narrow fairways dropping off ledges on the way to the smallish greens. Played with Frank Browne and thoroughly enjoyed this course..First course to play again someday.

SKY MOUNTAIN

SKY MOUNTAIN
Great course outside St. Georges..Best practice range ever!! Hit to lower grass with a row of red rocks right behind that are spectacular in the morning hours. Wonderful holes and would play this course again in a minute.

SUN BROOKS

SUN BROOKS
Played this course with Frank. 3 nines and we didn't get to play the best of the three...Doing considerable work on the course at the time...Fun course, but too much construction to give a fair chance.

SUN RIVER

SUN RIVER
Course next to and below where Frank and Linda live..Can see the course from there. Delightful course played with Frank and Linda...since we played many changes in greens and traps. Clubhouse next to the activity center where I played bridge with a number of folks incuding Jim Williams,,good players..Also played pickelball at nearby courts.
